What We Offer

This is not a clinical experience or a passive treatment. Athletic Therapy at Beyond Fitness is active, personalized, and rooted in movement.

 

We work with you in both our private therapy room and on the gym floor to help you rebuild mobility, correct dysfunctional patterns, and regain strength, all in a supportive, welcoming environment.

Sessions are tailored to meet you exactly where you're at, with a focus on:

At Beyond Fitness, your Athletic Therapy sessions are longer, more comprehensive, and take place in a private studio, not a busy clinic.

We combine the best of hands-on manual therapy with functional movement retraining to ensure that what happens on the table translates to real-life strength and freedom.

Who Will You Work With?

Athletic Therapy at Beyond Fitness is led by Jean-René, a Certified Athletic Therapist with extensive experience in injury rehabilitation, return-to-movement care, and functional strength development. With a background in elite sport and a passion for helping adults move well at every stage of life, Jean-René brings a unique combination of expertise and empathy to every session.

Education:

B.Sc. in Exercise Science (Athletic Therapy), Camosun College

Specialties:

Injury rehabilitation, return-to-sport protocols, chronic pain management, mobility and joint function, postural realignment.

Philosophy:

Every client deserves to move with confidence, whether recovering from injury or building lifelong strength. My approach blends hands-on therapy with active movement retraining, always personalized and client-centered.

Personal Background:

Originally from Smithers, BC, Jean-René brings both a deep academic foundation and a practical, empathetic approach to his work.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll find him training in the gym, exploring the outdoors, and staying curious about new advances in rehab science.
